Managing Your Subscription

Overview

QR Dex gives you full control over your subscription. Whether you need to take a temporary break, cancel your plan, or come back after time away, you can manage everything from your team page. This guide explains each option and what it means for your QR codes and account data.

Pausing Your Subscription

If you need to step away temporarily but plan to return, pausing your subscription is the best option. A paused subscription keeps your account and data intact without charging you during the pause period.

What happens when you pause:

  • Your existing dynamic QR codes continue to redirect to their destinations. Anyone who scans your codes will still reach the intended URL.
  • You will not be able to create new QR codes or edit existing ones while paused.
  • Premium features such as advanced analytics, integrations, and team management become inaccessible during the pause.
  • Your account data, QR codes, and historical analytics are preserved and will be available when you resume.

How to pause:

  1. Click Team in the top navigation bar to open your team page.
  2. Click Pause Subscription.
  3. Confirm your choice. Your subscription will pause at the end of your current billing period.

Cancelling Your Subscription

If you no longer need QR Dex, you can cancel your subscription entirely. Cancellation is permanent in its effects on QR code functionality, so it is important to understand what happens before you proceed.

What happens when you cancel:

  • Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access to all features until that date.
  • After the billing period ends, your dynamic QR codes will stop redirecting. Anyone who scans them will no longer be forwarded to the destination URL.
  • Static QR codes are not affected because they encode data directly and do not depend on QR Dex servers.
  • Your account and data remain in the system. If you reactivate later, your QR codes and analytics history will still be there.

How to cancel:

  1. Click Team in the top navigation bar to open your team page.
  2. Click Cancel Subscription.
  3. You will be asked to confirm and provide a reason for leaving. Click Confirm Cancellation to proceed.

Reactivating Your Subscription

If you previously paused or cancelled your subscription, you can reactivate it at any time to restore full functionality. Reactivation is instant, and all your existing QR codes and data will pick up right where you left off.

What happens when you reactivate:

  • Your dynamic QR codes immediately resume redirecting to their configured destinations.
  • All premium features associated with your plan become available again.
  • You will be billed immediately for the new billing cycle starting from the reactivation date.
  • Your historical scan analytics and QR code configurations are fully restored.

How to reactivate:

  1. Click Team in the top navigation bar to open your team page.
  2. Click Reactivate Subscription.
  3. Confirm your choice. Your subscription will be active immediately.

Important Things to Know

  • Only team owners can pause, cancel, or reactivate a subscription. If you are a team member, contact your team owner to request changes.
  • If you have an annual subscription and cancel mid-year, you retain access until the end of the paid period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time on annual plans.
  • If you are unsure whether to pause or cancel, pausing is the safer choice. It keeps your QR codes working while giving you time to decide.
